The Popular Show Campaign 4 Unveils the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a wide array of characters, and a thrilling plot showcasing angels, demons, and dark forces growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Warrior Group Revealed

The latest chapter ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of heroes who will separate from the main group to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (portrayed by Travis), the nimble rogue (Laura), Tyranny (the cast member), Wicander Halovar (Sam), and Kattigan Vale (Robbie).

The Reason for Division

Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that keeping everyone at a single group would be impossible.

Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Fighters, Schemers, and Explorers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

As described by the Dungeon Master, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented narrative style where non-violent answers are few and far between.

Initially, figures such as the reluctant priest the cleric might seem mismatched, but the actions of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are ideally matched for the Soldiers table.

Motivations for Departure

First, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose demise initiated the campaign’s events—used the enemy for his own means, invading the secret base, attacking Thimble, and taking all the enchanted items to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and fled to a fortified location in Gormalay, Timmony, above the urban center, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.

Personal Motivations

Additionally, each adventurer has a personal reason to depart the metropolitan area:

  • Thimble, as the companion and best friend, seeks vengeance.
  • The adventurer has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile location.
  • The warrior and The healer, having resisted his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • But, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could enable the team enter locations they usually can’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to The cleric for his deliverance and will now go with him everywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule Dol-Makjar for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city too risky:

  • The rogue and The hero are notorious outlaws.
  • The warrior and The healer defied the powerful family and the legion of demons they are allied with.
  • Teor is wanted dead by the clan.

This results in them few options but to travel to the remote area in pursuit of Casimir.

What’s Next?

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the other eight players to round up the Questers and Schemers parties.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which players will be assigned to which table in the story’s last Overture episode, released on the upcoming Thursday.
